Thanks to Cisco for posting the article. My spring broke the other day when my exhaust separated from the back-box. The bolts used to join the box to the exhaust had completely rusted through and snapped off and the rubber gasket had fallen off!

I'm pretty sure that it was the exhaust that caused the spring to fail. It took me ages to try and re-work the end that snapped off into a hook to hook back onto where it had snapped off from. It was a fiddly job trying to reattach it as the holes are so small. I did it in the end even though it did take me an hour and 30 mins when it should have only really taken 20 mins!
