Rad fan question

Hi folks, just discovered, that rad fan not kicks in, when connected directly to battery, fan is working, checked fuse beside battery , fuse looks fine, ... so what next, what turns on radiator fan ?

Gouge on dash working properly.

thanks

Bust thermostat maybe? take it out & drop it in some boiling water to see if it opens?

Done it in first, it works fine, opens in hot, and closes in cold water., discovered blocked heating matrix, so i connect pipes dirrectly, skip heating matrix. radiator getting water now, but fan not kicks in when temp rises to red..... will try get new ecu coolant sensor.

does somebody know where in internet buy these sensors ??? or cheaper get them in local motorfactors?

best to test the sensor first

quick check is to short circuit the 2 wire sensor while cars running,if fan kicks him sensors doink'd up
thermostat stuck open ?(even if it opens closes it may be doing it at the incorrect temps) ,,,,,,,,,,,,,this is the r-reg with loads of guesses involved :grinning:

Check the relay on the relay box near the battery. You can swap the ENG CONT and RAD FAN relays, if engine refuses to start, its the relay...
