New Engine Needed!!! What Will Fit??

Majour engine trouble. The water pump went in my K10 while i was driving, the timing belt didn't snap but was very close to it. Thought i was very lucky but turns out i wasn't, the ball bearings in the water pump went into the engine and bent the valves. Hence i need a new engine.
I was offered a 1.3 sunny engine but i don't no if it would fit without any mod's. Thats why i'm askin you the experts for your wisdom and mechanical knowledge. Any and all help is much wanted as i'm lost without my micra

just stick a MA12 in it.

The water pumps done have ball bearings, even if they did there is nothing for them to hit and damage other than the water pump. I suspect what actually happened was the timing belt slipped a few teeth. This would definately cause what you have said. Nothing else is a direct fit other than a 1.2 engine.
