need help with my k11 asap ! please1

Hey guys just bought my first k11 seems pretty good but high idle for some reason seems like a lose vacuums line has been blocked with a bolt ? Also my timing cover leaks from the 2 center bolts up top but I can't seem to stop it I've sealed them twice. And my gear changes are very hard like stiff but sometimes there good ? Gearbox itself seems new maybe reconditioned? Any help would be great guys
 
Need a picture of which pipe has been blocked off. If it's a vent pipe then the pressure increase will force oil out through seals/bolts etc. I had this on an old escort where someone had blocked the crankcase vent filter.
 
You still got the carbon canister in place? Could be the line that would have been connected to that. You can adjust the idle with an Allen key at the back left of the tb, check your wax stat isn't seized and pushing on the throttle linkage, check idle control valve is closing properly. All of this you will find in pollyp's blog mate. Won't need a Haynes as it's all been done and more by him.
