That's the breather matey
As we all know fuel gives off a vapour... that's the flammable bit
So when its given off it has the chance to return to the tank
Your fuel tank also has a breather. The breather pipe goes up to the fuel filler neck... condenses and returns to tank

Just simply ports. No fancy tricks on these
just a mini shiny fuel tank

Then hit a slight problem
This is the engine feed from the swirl pot
It's a 13mm outlet
Now here's my rough looking braided piping
It's for 8mm piping like the rest of my car
See my problem?
Popped to the shop for a reducer. Went through my box of pipe parts I've a 15 to 10 but that's no good
Then I remembered I own a lathe
So
Then I needed 13mm pipe... ok found some.. but the little reducer is then too close to the turret
So I needed a 90 piece.. lathe won't help now... but I had one Z shaped pipe in 13mm!!... brilliant
Problem solved
Here's my rear pump (got too much braided pipe kicking about)
Like I say... I'm not finished yet so keep your eyes peeled

that's what I was struggling with earlier. Then finally worked out that plate after taking 5 mins out to think And you're spoon feeding me BSThat's my fuel pump... my car is spoon fed

I thought the same. Thought I'd need em mandrel bent. But regs allow some ovalising so I went for it and that's the resultYeah, Iv seen them, I was just under the impression that they mess the pipe up. looks like it has done a good job to me

Its about choosing senaible wall thicknesses and bend radiuses ehI thought the same. Thought I'd need em mandrel bent. Butvregs allow some ovalising so I went for it and that's the result

that's a 2.5mm wall. Of course despite wall thickness you can still deform it with the bender incorrectly setupMany years have passed since the ovalising days

Eurgh breakfast first had a sleep in this morning... That consists of waking up at 8:30 stay in bed on the MSc harassing you and then get up now for breakfast. Then take rear callipers off to resolve issue.Maybe... but not yet
