meet Vipple :)

Hi all thought it was time to show you my new k10

Vipple is currently going through the cleaning stages and is almost complete ready for its first show

Here is a few pictures of her getting prepped and will keep updating with new pictures every so often.

Only plan for vipple so far is a nice spoiler a new drivers door and the wing sorted or replaced. This could all change through time though as i like the idea of lowering it slightly

Here is some pics (these are taken as its being cleaned, well when we have had a chance to take pics, but they are slightly mixed up a little)

most of these pics are taken before and during the cleaning part, so now its just been finnished, more pictures will follow as soon as the weathers a wee bit better to take it out and will get some decent pics with Jonc and Vipple nose to nose

i have some pics with the bonnet all cleaned up, and its looking a billion times better Vipple has been cleaned inside and out now all the wheels have been taken off and the whole car has been steam cleaned inside and out, not to mention the machine polishing (Y) its looking great so thanks to TANKYOU for selling me a fantastic wee car (Y)

all to do with the reg plate lol it says VPL at the end and my bother in law always comes up with daft names so he named it *visible panty line :doh:* which i refuse to go along with so made it into vipple lol

lol its not smooth in any of they pics if you look at the reflection of the strip lights you will see its blurry, wait till the next lot of pics go up you will see a massive difference

i don't know how hubster does it, but he seems to enjoy it, and i think the end results make it all worth while

How much did it cost? What company did you use? How many miles from there to you?

no hubster and his brother went down and picket it up by trailer we did have a transporter though and have done some transporting jobs in the past. Cheapest place to get transported is a company called shiply, only problem with them is your car could be on with another 10 + cars where as when we done it, it was 1 car only

wow.... but when I see the last picture, it seems to need some wax or have you already waxed it?

The pictures don't really do it justice tbh, not the best camera in low light. The car hasnt been waxed, instead it has had a machine applied polymer sealant applied which is better on white. Wax increases depth on darker colours but not that effective on white (no depth of colour), where as a sealant will provide a much crisper, cleaner effect on white. It will show up more when the pictures are taken outside.

I don't know how he does it but i guess thats what makes him one of the best detailers in Scotland

So nice to get some nice feedback, and its the exact reason why ive decided to keep it as a whole car and not strip it, as its such a cracking little car

Is that the spare wheel on the back drivers' side? Looks to have the origional factory dunlop tire on there, not very often you see a k10 with the origional spare tire still present. By the way what did you use on the underside of the bonnet to get rid of that black gunk?

It may well be, the spare that came with it looks like a Ford Escort wheel:suspect: On the look out for another Micra wheel in the same condition, however the wheels that are on it are going to be refurbished. The black junk was dirty rust proofer, all over the place too.. removed with a solvent degreaser called Plus 10

im still waiting for a reply from kev about it scott really want to take both but might need to take the 2 kids too so asked about tickets for kids and not had a reply and i cant reply to the JAE thread so unless i find out prices soon before the 30th then they may miss it BUT if they dont get to go this year THEY will be there next year and will be entering at least 1 into the show and shine :laugh:
