best to cut the old patches off and start from scratch eh matt, and then plate the inner sills first, then outer ones after

ok got too late to take a picture but it was hiding some major issues , i really dont care its taking for ever , this one will survive !! basicly rebuild from the outter body to the just under the seat and theres me thinking it was going to be a little hole ! lol

wish id seen this before i started, mines been welded before so was a right mess :(, will look ok once im done tho i hope these are pics in the dark soo far, last pic is of the inner sill i made that goes from near the seat and supention mount down to the bottem lip to create the wheel arch

on the second pic towards the back you can see that extra bit of steel thats in line with the sill lip , ive got to extrend that too as well as doo what youve dine but ive got to make a new bit all along to take the outter sill as the inner had already been attacked lol

well least its all done right and what one, the bit i made??
this bit here mate, its pi## thin, and uncapped at the ends, and only about 1/2 a meter long, the inner and outer skins hold the most strength (especially that inner rail that follows on from the rear chassis and holds the axle mount and seatbelt anchors)

If it's only light surface rust then a flap wheel on your grinder will get you back to nice clean steel. There's a weld through primer available to spray over the clean metal if you can't get to weld it immediately too.
