Lamber sensor??

Hey all I just went to get and MOT recently and my emissions are too high any one have thoughts on what i can do?

Also I would like to know what wires are for what on the lamber sensor(you have 2 white and 1 black) so i just wanted to know which 2 goes to the ecu and if it matters what way round they are as iv a universal on mine

the center wire goes to the ecu on mine, the other 2 wires heat it up

oh and its Lambda after the greek letter that looks like an upside down Y
