K10 no spark..!!

Ive put a 1.0L MA engine into my red micra shell and connected everything back up as it should be...

But on tick over im getting no spark out of the spark plugs

I have changed:

Coil, dizzy, dizzy cap, rotor arm, leads, spark plugs, battery

And it still wont work...

Is there anything else it could be?

doesnt have points i think, its electronic ignition...

Have you done a Crank Test? Check the condenser if you have one.

what do you mean, no spark "on tick-over" ?
does it fire up on the key, then die when you let go of the key ?

no, it just ticks over and over with the key and wont fire, so i pulled out a spark plug and connected it to the ht lead and no spark, also connected the spark plug straight to the coil and still nothing...??

you can test the coil by checking there,s a 12v feed to the plus side, and flicking an extra earth on the minus side (with a plug fitted to the main ht lead).
if thats ok, then maybe a dizzy problem ? (how many low tension wires does the dizzy have ?)

id say check wiring of dizzy and coil with haynes manual.

Does it have a Distributor ??

If so check the LT (low tension) wire which is screwed to distributor underneath (wire runs from Coil to Distributor).

If it is corroded/oily where it connects to distributor, with poor/no electrical connection, you will lose spark completely.

My K10 broke down no spark, checked usual things, then checked continuity on this LT wire from Coil to Distributor, found problem.

But not obvious at first as lead is fixed underneath distributor out of view.

It was a wire from the car to the coil that i had missed lol
