induction/air intake kit

As with all parts on offer they seem to be a 'small upgrade for so much more' etc, they seem pretty easy to install but
1) is it worth it?
2) will I pass MOT and
3) are they fairly standard or would I definatly get the most out of a K&N/piperX compared to the ebay £30 version?

intake kits look good and may give a deeper sound but in my opinion its all the the science of air flow and density. manufacturing your own out of other airboxs ect can benifit performance and your wallet! (Y)

the air box's a stare swap bud and the GA16 comes with a fairly large and long air ducht

they fit the t/b no probs, i had to shorten the cold air feed a bit on my almera one

and if you drill the sound baffle thingy off the lid, you get a fair bit of induction roar
