igniton system problems

hi all im having a little bit of a problem and was wondering if someone could help me out.
now i have a 2000 1.0 and it wouldnt start the other day at first i thought it had just flooded but with some quick diagnostics in tesco car park i determined that i had no spark and got a tow home. so the normal things i checked the ignition system fuse thats fine so i changed the leads cap rotor arm and plugs but still to no avail and im kinda stuck now what else can i look at

if its the coilpack engine, i would check for any faultcodes first (crank sensor maybe ?)

i would check for a 12v feed and cas signal at the dizzy then (there was a thread a while back that i and noddie posted some info iirc)

if there is no voltage what would need replacing or fixing

if there,s no 12v feed, you would have to trace back along the wires to find out why i guess
i assume a timing chain has,nt snapped ?

havent checked it but it sounds normal when i crank the engine just doesnt fire and the car didnt die while it was driving thats why its weird i parked up came back to it and it just wouldnt fire

ignition switch faulters sometimes also

that was a stupid question i know exactly what that is i changed it a while back i bet on of the conectors i put on it have fallen off cheers mate i didnt even consider this

rare possibility, worth a check i spose
i thought they are a block of connectors? like on pre-facelift

they are but i have put my own block in aswell to wire in a imobiliser ring thing for remote start
