I'm not very mechanically literate so please bare with me -
I've recently acquired a 1992 K10 Micra LX 988cc 5 door which is running pretty roughly. Parked with the engine running it sounds quite rough and stuttery - running it is frequently jerky and hesitant with low torque.
1) I applied some carburetor cleaner spray and replaced the filthy air filter with a new one and sprayed some WD40 around the leads all of which made no noticeable difference.
2) I Changed the distributor cap, rotor arm, oil, oil filter and plugs and there was immediately a noticeable improvement - not perfect but obviously a lot better - but after about a week it is now pretty much back to its old habits.
I would very much appreciate your advice but please remember I am no mechanic.
Cheers
