Headlights not working but full beam does

Hi,

I have searched the forum but cant seem to find anything directly related to the issue am having.

As the title says, my headlights are not working but full beam does..........I have checked all the fuses (near the battery and below the steering) but they all seem ok..........I know it cant be loose/bad connections or else the full bean wouldn't have worked.

The lights worked fine last night but decided to go tonight

Is there a separate fuse/relay that I need to check and where would it be?

Appreciate your help/advice.

You just need to replace your bulbs. They have 2 filaments and the standard beam filament has blown.

I had the same issue, it was the bulb connectors they had partially melted, spliced in two new ceramic replacements problem solved.

Connections on the back of the bulbs possibly. Worth checking

You were spot on mate, bulbs change and the problem was sorted............never knew they had 2 filaments

mines have also partially melted but they still work though..

Not all cars use twin filement bulbs (most BMWs dont for example) but it is pretty common

I would change them buddy - cheap and easy fix.
