how do you top up the gear box oil?

undo the speedo drive (10mm bolt), check level and refill from there.

i didnt know gear boxes had oil, i thought there get there oil from the car oil, how do you know when it needs topping up

it shouldnt ever really need topping up but you can check it as i described above!

Definately check!!

When I bought my K11, I checked it just in case....WHOLE gearbox was empty!!!!

That thing takes like 3-4 Litres of oil from empty!

meh i didn't find it too bad, you'll need funnels to top it up though±

or a oil can lol
the speedo cable itself is supposed to be the dipstick i just used a allen key and looked through the whole where the speedo cable goes into mine took about 3 full oil cans to top up when i checked it because i had a very loud grinding noise when i geared down for corners

lol, think i used 2 drinks bottles iirc

ok i think mine has a very small leak as the underside of the gear box is damp with oil but no drips and it sounds a little crunchy wem going into reverse so i thought i might check it
