gaskets!

hey fellas, i've been a bit quiet lately (a good thing, right?!)

just had a quick one about gaskets i'm just asking cause the turnaround time for gaskets from nissan japan is a long time and if i need one i'd rather be prepared

say you pull off the sump, can you re-use the old seal? or use a gasket goo type thing? how about those gaskets you can cut out yourself? custom gaskets? whats the G.O people?!

i think they use a windscreen type acrylic sealer on the sump (you might need some release agent on 1 face tho)
and i always (carefully) run a fine file around the faces to check for highspots before using an air-dry sealer
