do it, best bang for buck mod and you still get a silly grin 6 months later when you stomp on the brakes and the rear wheels come off the ground a meter or so

yeah i already out brake most things well except the lotus excige and one of the datto 1600 with a fj20 in it. But there both full track cars. But i think i will take your advice and do it as soon as these pads a stuffed.

imo, lucas = ****. everyone says there great. i can fade them out easily. 2 or 3 hard breaks from 150ish and there goneski, that's with slotted rotors. don't get drilled. they'll crack through the holes. ebc/endless all the way. i reckon the 1.6pulsar calipers are even to small for the blue car...better then stockers i guess thou

Yeh you carn't go past endless or Ferodo DS 3000, Pagid, or even SBS scandinavien brake systems, thats what i mostly use, for competition cars but Lucas are good for a road car which is not driven that hard, they work from dead cold.

They are great. They're perfect for a road car driven spiritedly. How often do you do 3 stops from 150km/hr? Only when there's a speed camera I guess LOL.

My stock brakes were alright with slotted rotors. But I could never use them hard enough without the ABS interfering to get fade worth worrying about.

Changed a bit with the N15 1.6 rotors and calipers on it though - threshold braking without the ABS kicking in was much, much better (to the point where things on the back seat would be launched into the windscreen).

littlebear can comment quite nicely on how little charlotte pulled up I believe. ;)

But I didn't do it for racing. I took it as a good way to improve the general driving experience of the car. And it did that perfectly.

atleast 2 or 3 times a week :p, i've just been lazy to upgrade them.. i wanna put the gtir calipers/rotors on the blue car and put something decent on the red car.. i kinda figure that if i can fade out the blue car's brakes with fark all power.. how am i gonna stop the red car? :)

I did over 10 laps at Wakefield and didn't fade my AD22VF's once with EBC Greenstuffs... And don't tell me I wasn't braking hard enough.

Cisco also had them on Blue Monster and they were caarrraaazzzyyy even with QFM pads.

IMO anything bigger/more pistons etc... is complete overkill for the Micra, you'd be better off more finely tuning the balance with a bias adjuster, but thats just my opinion.

yeh, i'll go bigger if i can find something that fits. mullholland have 4 piston calipers, dunno disc size, and the pommy's run 4 piston ap's.. they must be making kits for a reason.. never faded out the ad22vf's, but when you've got power, you also want to slow down alot quicker too..

Meh, each to their own.

AD22VF's get the job done, and well from experience. I think the 4 piston jobbies will be not much more other than bling value.

That being said, prove me wrong... ;)

n14 do as well just watch the rotor offset. You may need to space the caliper out from the mounting 1 to 2mm as mentioned.

Doesn't have to be perfect though - sliding calipers dont need to have the rotor centred perfectly.

you should see what a CVT micra can do on tram lines in the wet :)

160km/h on the speedo and smoke from one side hahahah

i remember one canberra trip sean (life_coach) could get the rear end pretty high with GTIR brakes..

which reminds me I found this album if anyone is keen a looking back a few years at the 2 or 3 micra's that have come and gone now from that canberra trip.

lol, what suspension was that with? ultra soft super high king springs? :D unfortunetly measuring how good your brakes are by how much the back end lifts up of the ground isn't really gonna tell you much apart from your suspension isn't upto hard braking :(... 2's car looks hot
