Using some of those breaches the MSC rules on 'txt speak' though, so stick to traditional English please :p

bt if ur gona tlk lk dis den xpct beats :p

this thread FTL
This thread is just to help the people who dont use the forums that much and can't understand what some people are writting about

Whats your problem with it?

Oh and FTL means "for the lads" so not sure what you really mean by that...

FOR THE LOSE

Curtis, love – My original post was meant in jest, but is you have got into a little strop about it I assume humour is lost on you.
TBH

See this is why txt speak is bad on forums :p, no body knows what it means.

I knew what it meant lol, just didnt know in what way they said it...

All i was trying to do with this thread was help out members who dont know what some of these things mean...example in Antony's forsale thread, where someone asked what BUMP meant

Pointless posts create crap in threads...

On another forum I occasionally visit, people sometimes put *** before a noun, as if they were replacing *** for the. Any ideas what this is about?
Also, another one -

TTIUWP - This Thread Is Useless Without Pictures!

and the ones I use most often

FFS = For F* Sake
RTFM = Read The F*ing Manual

both of which predate the web. txtspeak My Arse ;)

Nice one Richj, lol.

Anyway could there be a pull down menu in the Quick Reply and Advanced Replay because no ones going to search for this thread, lol.

I don't see the problem with using an abriviation on here, I don't see how they breach any rules. Every single person on here has used them and there hasnt been a problem in the past.

just to add:

RTFM - Read the F'ing Manual
STFU - Shut the F up
PEBKAC - Problem exists between keyboard and chair
FOAD - F off and die

most of them are IT related though! :)
