failing on emissions?

hi
recently had my 1.0 facelift moted nd it failed on emmissions. any sugestions? ive looked at the air filter nd it looks clean.

no mods, nd a never got a print out, it was a bit dodgy, cause it passed. i jus got told tht it shud of failed on emissions. mite of jus bin cause it was cold? ano wen i first start it it idles at bout 1500rpm, till it warms up a bit? cud tht b anything to do with it?

You should by law get a copy of the emissions test results with the mot certificate.. pass or fail..!

What if it's 1800-2000rpm cold and 750rpm warm like mine?

It would help if you took the car for a good rag before hand to get the Cats Hot enough to work properly.

It doesn't work if the Mot tester asks you to bring in the car and leaves it standing for a while though
