help, cars knockin and missing

ive just put 1.3 cams in my 98 1.0 twister. and now its knocking and rattling and it sounds like its missing. it idles from 450-650rpm, and when u drive it, thn come to a juction, put the clutch in nd stop, it stalls, the throttles a bit hit and miss to. any suggestions.

it sounds like the timing is out steve i have posted a pic of the lobes @ tdc a few times on here

ok thanks frank, should i turn the engine so its at tdc, thn adjust the cams so they look like ur pics?

yes mate, the lobe centres on 2 and 3 should line up with the edge of the capbolts, as in the pic

excerlent frank thanks very much. 1 last question jus to check tht ive got it right, when u turn the crank pully to put it on tdc, where do u line it up at? ive been turning it so tht the yellowish line lines up with a pin tht sticks out the side of the timing cover. it that right?

yeh, 2nd from the left is tdc mate

sorry for the delay in reply. just to let u no frank, got the car sorted, was one tooth out on the inlet cam. thanks very much for the help
