Facelift Sunroof Cover

Alright guys,

Just thought i'd try and pick brains, cos i'm stumped. Any ideas how to remove the sunroof cover slidey fabric thing. i'm intending to wrap it so need to know how to remove and reinstall without breaking everything.

I would imagine the headlining needs to be dropped. It might be worth seeing if whatever stops it sliding right back of its rails is removable to slide it out.

Pop into your scrappies.. And yank away at on there.. Thats how i figure this sort of stuff out. But yea more than likely youll have to get under the lining.

Not sure if it is the same on facelift as pre-facelift, but the book of lies (which states K -T reg, 93-99), suggests:

1. Slide shade to rear
2. Remove side trim clips, then unscrew the nuts securing the lid to the cable end fittings.
3. Withdraw the sunroof from the outside
4. Undo the screws retaining the rear drains to the roof, then remove the rear drain rail.
5. Withdraw the shade assembly upwards from the outside
