I know been coverd but can the gearbox and shafts be left in situ and the engine just swaped over looking to do a quick change over and dont want the hassle of lifting it all out......
 
i think if you could do it, it would take longer just because there is such little room in the engine bay. and you are better off dropping the engine out the bottom, much easier than lifting it over the top
 
not worried about it taken longer changing engine is 2nd nature to me, I just dont want the hassle of droping gearbox oil and removing shafts so would prefer to do dry change. but will take on board whats been said and its still only half a days work which ever way i go.
 
sorted thats the way to do it....the only reason im not pulling shafts is that i cant stand the smell of gearbox oil it makes me physicly sick every time, dont know why.
