ECU problems

My '97 1.0 micra shape broke down in a carwash, 3 weeks and a nissan expert later i found out the ECU had got wet and died.

My problem is I cant find an exact match to the one I've got, does it need to be the exact same or will it not work because of the immobiliser?

thats a bit wierd seing as the ECU is inside the car not under the bonnet :suspect:

We've had this before where water gets onto the ECU after going through a car wash or jet washing a car. It comes in throw the heater vent and drips down onto the ECU. You should always turn the fresh air vent lever to rec and this should help.

you'll need to get a ecu tht has the immoblisors system pref same age age thn you have two choice get the transpoder frm the same car to match ecu with key or have your exsting key programed to the ecu
