well my cylinder head is already shaved 0,4 but due to a bad gasket i need to schim it again.at 0,4 i didnt have any issues with lower chain,tensioner noisy motor etc.the engine is cg13 and i know that it has 9,5-1 compression and at 0,5 it will propably reach 10,3 to 10,2-1(i will do the maths later!)but i am not sure about the tension of the lower chain..the whole set chains,gears tensioners etc is new..has anybody done the 0.5 schim?will it be ok for some brutal use?

i,ve run 2mm skim before gianni, a low milage chain will be fine

wow!!!2 mm?didn t you have problems with the tension of the chains
?esp the lower one?i guess you had modified the tensioners..or something...you had shaven the head and the block as well cause 2 mm is a lot imo...in that case 0,5 is fine....thanks frank

2mm off the head and 2.5mm off the block gianni (covered in my n/a blog, page 2) and yes the lower tensioner is fully extended @ 2mm headskim
