Cutting out and the odd misfire

So this is the last thing i need to fix before i can book the mapping. Previously i had one misfire and the EML come on flashing away and the car cut out, all i done was unplug the stock lambda and the car drove faultless! Anyway after doing all my faffing about this weekend the same problem has returned but worse. I can drive the car but it bangs loudly and cuts back slightly then the EML flashes sometimes. Now does anyone think this could be earth related? As we broke the little one that goes from the chassis to the gearbox. Also how do i fault check the car?

Cool and there should be pauses in between flashes? To get a code like 2123 etc?
