Cold start enhancement

Can any one offer any advice please?

My K11 '95 Micra is still running fine but when it used to start it, it revved high for a few seconds before idling nicely.

The car was left standing for a year (ish) and now when it starts, it no longer revs high but is more inclined to stall.

I have serviced the car and I have been using it each day for about the last month but no change on starting.

I have heard the term cold start enhancement. Could it be something to do with this and is it easy to correct?

sounds like the fast-idle waxstat has seized, you could raise the idle control valve setting instead

yeah sounds like a seized primative fast idle wax-stat and a stuck idle control valve.

I'd remove the seized mechanism completely to stop it from keeping the throttle open when it ain't even working,
clean & calibrate the idle control valve so it works freely,
then adjust the warm idle & timing.
