centrol locking truble

i have a lucus fob for my centrol locking and since ive had the car its never worked, ive got the battery but the fob isnt working, how do i program it? please help....

my micra is a k11 preface lift m reg 1994 its the wave adition

It might not be that the fob is unprogramed it could just be that the Micro switches have broken, thats all it was on mine but you can pick up a repair kit on ebay for about 6 pound that gives you the new rubber inserts and micro switches, just means you have to solder the little switches on, fixed it for me
