Boot release

The boot release on the SuperS is broke, the bit that connects to the lever and some of the wire has snapped off so I'm unable to reconnect at all.

Apart from a boot release solenoid to replace is there a way to fix this or how easy is it to replace the wire (and has anyone got a spare one?)

Not too hard to replace the wire, just need to find one in a scrappy and rip it out, quite a lot of effort, but prob the esiest way to do it.
If you use a solenoid, then you will prob have to hae the boot lock removed

Replacing should be easier as am already stripping the interior, as for finding one in a breakers yard, the one i use puts the car parts in the car so most are full of junk, anyone got one?

you can use (what i know as) "bull clip" basically like a electrical cable joiner. but for cable. basicalyl clamp ontp one end then clamp the other end joining the cable back up.

if you get us a quick photo of the problematic area i shall be able to help more

but that should get you started for sure

I tried using a nut and bolt configuration but due to the amount of force but on the cable it just comes apart
