Big fun with seat cupra tdi. What car have you beaten?

Guy was with his girlfriend in his cupra tdi, he put his foot down at the lights and i left him standing in my micra sr, lol. He put his window down to ask what i was running under the bonnet (no air filter). He must of felt silly. (He may wish to give the car back to seat now, his girlfriend may dump him now, lol).

Which cars have you lot beaten in your micra's? Thought i'd start an interesting thread to see what these cars are capable of beating......:wow:

haha nice one mate! I have had off some chavs in a new shape polo (think it was the 1.2) and the guy was amazed. He actually stopped and asked what I was running, I was like "erm.... a 1.0 with induction kit". His mates were taking the pi** out of him for being had off by a Micra. It did make my night in all fairness lol.

Yep got a 1.3 16v Twincam SR with an oil breather filter and cosworth bmc air filter with cold air feed pipes running straight to the filter, lol.

It goes well and sounds top.

Need some lowering springs now, for handling 30mm hmmm nice...

and then Marcus beats RS Turbos in his 1L Micra?

I know the RS Turbos are not a high performance car (I own one) but seriously!!!

Beating someone off the lights isn't exactly proof that your car is better/faster. Only thing it shows is you're an Idiot!

theres video evidence of stani beating an rs-turbo with his car n/a on youtube. (well up to about 45mph)

when i had my cams and janspeed fitted i had a punto turbo, xsara 1.6, astra 1.6 twinport, corsa 1.4 sxi, fiesta 1.25zetec, honda civic 1.5, suzuki swift GTI, Ford escort RS2000 4x4, Peugeot 206 GTI (up to about 55) and the list goes on, its all about revs, weight and gear ratios. most micras have a very short ratio gearbox compared to most cars of similar power and size.

a fiesta 1.25zetec is a fair comparison. when my car changes from 6500rpm to second gear it only drops about 2200rpm, 4th to 5th is very close.
but the fiesta zetec is a massive drop, they rev to 7000rpm but they drop nearly 3000rpm from 1st to second and again to third. its silly. and sounds awefull from the outside.

you see it all the time when chavs try to set off quickly, wheras my car will rev its nuts off in first then wheelspin in second. most chav cars (almost every other small hatchback) revs its nuts off in first then changes to second and stops.... takes about 2 or 3 seconds to pick up again...

Strange i had a Citroen ax thing thinking i was racing him as i was pulling away from the lights even got his hazards flashed as he thought he beat me. lol
I was pulling away slowly just have a loud exhaust, think you may find it could have been the same for some of these other cars eh?

i don't think the guy even tried. It's funny how people think they have beaten somebody when the other person didnt put their foot down. fwn

I beat a ferrari the other day :girly:...a parked one that is! :down:

Let's be honest here, our micras can't beat nobody at no lights! lol
