Ultrabeat is the artist i think.
I like a lot of the clubland cd's while im cruising but if were talking songs that i'd go for on a roadtrip i'd have to say a lot of Nickelback stuff it's up beat heavy but not too heavy and it's rocking!

Got beaten to it, damn.

Ride Wit Me - Nelly
What Im Made Of - Crush 40
Remember The Name - Fort Minor
Bleed It Out - Linkin Park
Into The Night - Nickelback ft. Santana
Give It All - Rise Against
Fat Lip - Sum41
To Get Down - Timo Maas

These are my current favourites altho personally i'll listen to anything as long as there's no MC over it lol

apollo 440 - aint talkin bout dub
Dizzee rascal - stand up tall
massive attack - unfinished sympathy
ustad nusrat fateh ali khan - dillagi

Some of my main ones, too much to list like!

Currently loving soaring semi-rock stuff, like Elbow, Muse's most recent album, that sort of thing. Real goose-pimples stuff. I think it's the promise of summer that's doing it. Otherwise nothing beats a bit of Chris Rea... or for really long journeys (especially when Kerr's in the car with me), ABBA!!! Hahahahaha!!!!

Any rock for me! CKY is definitely up there in my favourites though.
Rock, sunroof open, windows down = bliss

Long journeys = rock
Cruising round Brighton in the sun - Hed Kandi
Driving like a loon - hardcore
Taking it easy (usually on way to gym) - rap

I had a Jamiroquai album on once (don't ask) and when 'travelling without moving' came on I though I was being overtaken by something special (he wrote it about his Enzo, for those who don't know, and the first 10-15 seconds are him going through the gears)

for me, depending on the mood

gary d - hard style set
m zone / mark eg - old skool hard trance set
dj freak - live in geneva
dj issac - melbourne shuffler set / jumpstyle
eiterherd / noise creator - breakcore set
blink 182 - carousel
17 hippies - heimlich
barrios - la catedral
relient k / stellarkart

both chill out and banging hardcore as listed

Lol, the K10 in particular at particular revs it sings! :)
Sounds like a 1.6, shame it doesn't go like one!

Back on topic:

If your 'attacking the corners' then i think chilled out music, or none at all is best.
Zipping round town then anything that sounds best loud, whatever style / genre:
Slayer
Muse
Megadeth
Metallica
Nightwish
Nickleback
Etc...
