1.3 and 1.0 ecus, whats the difference??

so after spending many hours searching 1.0 - 1.3 conversions i have come to the conclusion that all i need to change is the engine, retaining my 1.0 gearbox f/w and clutch. but im a bit confused about the ecu, some threads say it will run fine on the 1.0 ecu others say i need to use the 1.3 ecu to get the best from the 13, anyone make a difinative answer to this, or provide me with the difference between them? during some searches i have seen that the 1.3 ecu has less ignition advance?

i run a 1.0 ecu on my 1.3 and it seems to go alright although i have adjusted my timing on it a bit (I think). so i dont think it makes too much difference

it was micra_pete who said the only difference was 6 or 8 deg more advance iirc hoopdub, and he knew them inside out
