Cams should go in fine, can be confirmed with feeler gauges for about £3, 99% of CG13 and CG10 cams interchange without issue, shims are just little spacers to make sure the clearance is ok.

Putting any open air filter directly on top of the throttle body will reduce power as it pulls hot air from over the engine, you're better just getting a performance panel filter.

any air filter fits really mate, just up to you what you want to get, very easy to fit, get your haynes manual out and read how to take the stock one off if you need to. just a few bolts and a jubliee round the throttle body.
As for the cams theres a tutorial somewhere yeh, and the shims may need changed if they have been worn by the cams. but check the ttorials and youll be laffin.

VERY VERY VERY VERY unlikely that the shims have been worn, they're hardened so they don't and lubricated.

The shims are normally changed when the profile change is that different, or the manufacturing tolerances mean that the clearances between the cam lobe and the valve are too small or too wide, meaning the valve opens too late or too early.

so you'd advise against gettin either one of them then?

how drastic is the power change?

cant you extend the pipe or summat so it sucks in cold air?
