1.3 into 1.0 engine swap (again!)

Hi Folks

Sorry, I know this has been discussed to death, but some of the threads seem to contradict each other.

We have a 2000 W plate non-coil pack 1.0 rally car. We fancy a bit more power, but still want to be able to return it to Junior 1000 spec with not much hassle. The wiring in the car is standard-ish, with a standard mapping but immobiliser-less ECU.

If I get hold of a 1.3 short engine only:

a) will it fit retaining all the other parts (g/box, manifolds etc)?
b) Does the ECU need to be changed?

Anything I need to be aware of?

Cheers
Jools

OK, you were correct. Swapped the engines, kept the 1.0 flywheel, clutch and gearbox. Rallied her at the weekend and she was great! So yes - it is a straight swap!

Would it be this simple to swap a 1.0 with a 1.4 in a 2000 coilpack engine and would the ecu need to be swapped?

I know I just wasn't sure if it was as simple to swap a coilpack engine because I'm hoping to go to a bigger engine when my insurance drops
