k11 1ltr clutch ----------

Hi, would like to ask 2 questions ere`,

1. what benefits are there with the paddle clutch over standard?

2. would it be good for a 1.3 engine with a 1ltr gearbox?

I've a 1.3 engine on a 1.0 box and...although the acceleration is fantastic, the straight line speed is extrememly limited.

I'd advice a 1.3 box

Hi, thanks for your reply, the gearbox I have is a recondition from a pre-facelift which I got cheap, and to find a 1.3 gearbox in good condition is a loooong shot unless its from a low mileage, also skymera, what you mean about straight line speed is extremely limited, i.e. top end speed?,

I too would be interested to know what the difference in top speed is, and what the rpm is at 70. I like the idea of shorter final drive / ratios for sprints and such.

Me and Scott were chatting about this not long ago, the limiter on a 1.0 gb is same speed as about 5.5k on a 1.3 gb (roughly)

Benefits of a paddle clutch are limited unless you're going to be doing repeated hard starts. They're a massive PITA for daily driving until you get used to them also

the 3 different final drive ratio,s and different 5th gear ratio,s complicate matters, there are a few threads on here

Ok for a turbo 1.3 engine running a 1.tr (pre-face) gearbox, what clutch is recommended then? don't really want to change gearboxes, drive shafts and hubs etc...

what can I use? any suggestions would be great!
