The 1.3 Turbo Battle####

I have yet to find the time to tinker with my raspberry Pi too.

3D printer has my interest & priority at the mo
Rasp pi is alright, slightly disappointing for me but has some awesome tech. If i could combine an arduino and raspberrypi . amazing

Drill holes through them like me :) put small bars through them to help keep them in place
Takes ages to get the placement right on the holes though

in the end Andy and I drilled through the front panel bar. The custom ally top was far superior than the thing panel metal. Dont lock any more but they are simple pin and hoop jobbies, which tbh are so much better.

The front panels aren't very substantial, I reinforced mine with 2x 2mm plates straight across although its seen some interesting changes lately
I meant dril through the pins to hold them on your panel :) I'll get a photo of mine for you if you like. 130ish mph (ish because my speedo stops at 100) and my bonnets still here :)

Which did you have before then? Aerocatches?

I had to reinforce the mounts for our bonnet pins as they were cracking around the mounting point on the front panel....

I also put on spring catches as with the lightweight bonnet it was flapping around loads before the spring catches.

I have debated spring catches as well, are they run of the mill or do you have a specific brand?

yeah I had aero catches, no fault to the product really, just poorly applied. Yeah I figured thats what you meant, sorry I was just saying we found life easier when we attached to better metal... plus a shed load of loctite

I like the idea of drilling through the pins and like attaching a chain to somewhere else, just in case the buts unwind. yeah a pic would be awesome.

Run of the mill parts from fleabay, I haven't done the boot still on the OEM key latch as the car is left outside overnight when out on events...
Yeah that was a concern for me actually, the gadgets inside is something I wouldn't want people to access when popping in to the shops lol. I wonder if there is a way to disable the lock when eventing. possibly remove the latch/loop on the shell and use pins for quick wheel change...

I have thought about fitting pins, and then using small padlocks to secure it. This is what i did with the bonnet when the car was on display at the Autosport show.

yeah an old boy said the same to me... I just fear that with the lock so exposed you could just pry it free.

No worries man, when I'm about next I'll get photos.

4 pins was all I needed to stop flapping. Rubber hose over the pins helps dampen the bonnet
The springs are ok just dont use their bolts as they're crap and dont cock up like me and leave no tension on one spring so it does sod all -_-
