what did you do to your micra today ?

that's £306 cheaper than mine paid annualy =[

Mind I have got about 8 modifications listed :L
I have more than 8 listed :p the whole rally build declared including future mods :) when they read em out back to me it was like... I have all that? F@#k yea I do :D
How come yours so much?
Yeah but you live miles away from anywhere (is also why your insurance is so cheap, nobody is going to go to louth...)
Yeaaa they will :D

What is it with you and different colour bonnets.. Feking rude boy or what lol :D

That car enuo ???? That's a Vauxhall cresta surely, had one back in 1972-ish, column change, front bench seat.
Paid 40 quid for it ...nice motors. I think petrol was 30p a gallon then, or there abouts ...happy days
Isuzu Bellet Gtr actually, black bonnet was a paint option.
Cresta looks nothing like that, they're more like the old chevvy bel air than anything else, tail fins and all
Edit: ah I forgot about the mk3, similar ish but much boxier than the Bellet, and longer too

Thanks for that edit .....thought my uncle Al Zeimer was calling then.

I was like this after the almera, even now I find myself watching the car behind me and my accident was almost 2 years ago now.

What you're going through is perfectly normal so don't worry about it, you've done the best thing of getting back behind the wheel

still gets me some times my accident was over 14 years ago !! but you just have to get on with it

Good idea Frank :)

WDIDT : Had a look at the boxes of bits I picked up yesterday, very pleased with all. Cams look like new, and the head has been very nicely ported, and even the inlet manifold has been ported to match the head too :)

Also looked at the fuel pressure regulator which lead me to a question.... It is a Malpassi one with a pressure gauge, the type that feeds back to the tank after the fuel rail. I know how to fit it, and pipe it up, but i want to know how to adjust the pressure. It looks like this one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Malpassi-...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4170990e78, anyone know how to adjust them or where I can find some instructions ? Google is giving me nothing......

Looks like a parcel shelf speaker plug.

But ofc you wouldn't find that at the front doing leccy windows :/

I am so sorry! that was a completely inappropriate use of my grammar it's meant to be a comma

But its only the passenger side :/ she's an lx also if that helps to narrow it down?

It was tucked up snuggly into my dash

I did think that but there's two on the passenger side and just one on the drivers side surely tweeters would be plugged in either side?

WDID? Tried to fit the almera box...

Managed after much swearing to get the fecking clips off the pipes on the old carbon canister, and replaced it with the smaller canister from pre facelift,

Problem is the airbox still its the canister and I cant put it lower because of breaklines.

Any suggestions Cheers Steve

WDIDT?...well after finally solving my rattling issues yesterday, I thought today I'd fix the bane of any K12 owners existence <_<
The stupid, annoying, magically escaping, pain in my backside, plastic tailgate trim LOL

It seems that no matter how gentle you are with it, the minute you need to lift something outta your boot it gets snagged, even ever so lightly, on this trim and it comes Flying off!!! >_<
this is because half of the fixings that it's supposed to "clip" into are missing, damaged or both  and unlike the other trims around the car you can't really replace them as they'll just break again so...I made with the extra strong double sided sticky tape! :D

Bargain from Aldi's that stuff...my mums number plate was falling off, this stuff holds it solid and was half the price of proper "Number plate tape" from Halfords ;)

Obviously I attacked the trim with back to black (wonder wheels) first.
...which it turns out you shouldn't do in the kitchen, as it polished the floor at the same time = slippery as......with just socks on :p

Not long after I got my baby I did try to sort this out...using carpet tape
however, carpet tape is simply not thick enough to reach the trim I'm trying to stop sepperating from the metal

http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z110/Sai_art/Car/DSC00558_zps251c1c6a.jpg

now... I put on a few strips of the new, padded (foam), tape, it's about 1mm thick.

DSC00559_zps16eeb85c.jpg

The placement was perfect but it still wasn't actually holding onto/touching the trim enough
...so I put a second layer on top of the strips I'd already put on it and pushed the panel into place, holding it down for a few seconds....then I gave it a nice, firm, tug.

didn't budge an inch :)

...YAY!!!! much better ^_^

DSC00562_zps9d111b55.jpg

the only thing that I think would make it more perfect is I think it could have done with a third layer of the tape in the area towards the catch in the centre, but it's pretty solid anyhow...
In the event I need to remove tha bit of trim again I'm gonna have alot of fun! LOL

Got some parts for the new engine build from Halfords, was looking at Gearbox oil specs and got confused.... Doing a search on here mostly gives 75w/90 GL5 but also on here and online (and in the Halfords spec sheets) for a facelift 1.0 box it states it should be 75w/80 GL4 now i am not sure which to use? The 75w/80 in theory should be a bit thinner and thus should give less losses which would be great.... But which should i be using?
