What will removing this flap give me access to?

Hi all, my CG13 has a bit of a rattle from the timing end...

I'm hoping that it isn't the chains, but accept that it probably is. I'd like to remove this black panel to get a better look. How much help is this going to be, will it allow me to see the tensioners?

Any help would be great
