Valve cover snapped tube

Hi, any suggestion how to go about this? The plastic tube from the valve cover snapped while i was putting back the airfilter case. Put some epoxy but its not that strong. What is the effect if ill just leave it as is?

It's job is to allow it to suck in clean air via the air filter a lot of people have the small crankcase filters on it.

It's not under pressure or anything so if you can get it to stay there it'd be OK..

Could you insert and glue a section of hose into the plastic left in the camcover?

Went to the local hardware and had this garden fittings. Cut a section and forcefit through the inner portion of the tube and the valve cover. Then put some mouldable putty for stronger hold. Looks good at this point.
