Hi peeps, im going to be turbo charging the micra over the summer months. i was think of running a Ford(fiesta) turbo unit running at approx 4-6 psi max.Im getting the manifold made by a good friend of mine.

Im going to Re-map the ecu my self and then chip it using a re-burnable chip
Where can i locate a set of cams from and how much? as ive seen them for over £400 which i find pretty exspensive. are the older 1.3 super s or SR cams any different?

ive had a look and im thinking of the 8HP gain ones,which turbo do you advise on getting?how about a T25? or will that be too big running stock?

T2 is amazing on a K11. Not for big power but for the way it responds is nothing short of amazing. Lets just say even on 6psi HUGE amounts of increased midrange torque and almost instant response. By comparison a T25 will be better top end at a bit less bottom end. The gains on the cams are on a stock engine. You can expect more with a turbo and other mods. In my opinion the fast road cams will be a good choice for a turbo. Bear in mind that you may be making quite serious power with a T25 and cams on a stock engine, and unless carefully mapped you may run into some reliability issues unless its adequately intercooled, with proper ignition mapping to match.

i think i'll be going to stick to a T2 unit. ive been having a look around at differnt turbo's inc T25 which if more used on a Escort RSturbo
 
T25 is also on 200SX S13 the CA18DET engine, if oyu go on the SXOC you may find a S13 owner trying to sell his T25 as they upgrade to the T28 which is on trhe S14 SR20DET engied SX, they go for around £100 +

i'll save you a job if you want, there is no software out there for the micra, and trust me, re-mapping a nissan ecu is not just as simple as getting hold of software, you need to know what does what.

if you wanted it doing, let me know and we'll sort something out.
 
how much wud a turbo cost for a 1.0 yr 2000 micra (are other engine mods needed as well as a turn osuch as strenghthening any pipes, im clueless with car engines:grinning: ) i feel the 59hp i got atm is a little pants at times. thanks
 
i have a T2 for mine and all i need is a manifold (hint hint i realy realy need a manifold) and then its just a case of bolting it up and running at about 5psi, then re-mapping, thicker head gasket....cams.....possibly flowed and lower C/R eventualy..... intercooler.......about 140-150BHP.....
 
erm at the mo.....about £400....

but every penny is going into it tho....

.its a 1995 red 1.3 super S, soon to be a super ST i have sourced some lowering springs for dirt cheap....(about £30) but am unsure as to weather my newly aquired pulsar calipers will fit under my 14" wheels? i have seen GTIR's with 14" speedlines and Volk wheels before?

i would upgrade the shocks 2... pointless having a car fast, if it car turn a corner lol :)

you can do it but the gear costs a lot on mouny there is some people up north who do it!! (will get more infor if you need it)

there was a thing in maxpower about them, cos they have never heard of is being done but they +50bhp on a standerd for just buy sorting out the ecu!!!

everyone like muscle cars till you get to a corner! you could get loads of different turbos i personally want a GT25R but its nearly £800 for the turbo alone.. second hand a T25 or T2 can be gotten quite cheaply just check for shaft play and damage to the impelor blades.. things like that.

thats the first thing i did 2 my micra lol lower it on Bilstein, and Eibach :D lol great buy
