Truck smash me!

short story is the semi didn't know i was next to his passenger front wheel, blind spot, and smashed me good.

anyone know what this might cost to repair? ballpark figure.

may be a write off as i guess the value is probably on 3-3.5k for 96 super S with 128,000km.

devestated....just spent $1k on it too.

may be parting out soon.

i had a very basic rear ender in my 200sx with much less damage than this and it was 3.5k....

did you get his insurance details??
Even if they write it off and you get a payout, try to bargain the insurance company so that you keep the car too.
You will make more money by selling parts than giving up the car to the insurance company

my guess is around 2k to repair from a panel shop

My guess is about 4-5k. That is alot of cutting and welding mate. You will need a replacement panel as the metal will be all warped and stretched. There will be no hitting it out and bogging it thats for dam sure. Not to mention if the sill is damaged and the b pillar might not be square anymore. Dont quote it yourself take it to three shops and get quotes. Does not look good though mate.

looks likes a writeoff, you may be able to buy the wreck back though. i was able to with justcars insurance (underwritten by AAMI) when i pranged mine.

YEP...turns out it's a write-off.

the bloody process of finding another great car like this that i knew was reliable and had everything i wanted kills me. cost 4k and no way they will pay that out. more like 2.5.

Terrible to hear mate. I have an identical Super-S as my daily and would hate to have that happen to it
