Trouble ticking over when starting

Hey guy's
This has probably been posted up before but when I start my S Reg 1.0L micra it doesn't like to start and tick over if it has been left for a while like 3-4 hours needs a bit of throttle to keep it running and sometimes it runs lumpy untill you give it a little. Had a problem with the distributer cap a while back and replaced that and checked it all and it will actually start now haha but what to see if i can sort this issue out.

reluctance to starting when hot is usually an overfueling problem mike, you will probably find it starts fine if you pull the fuelpump fuse

Sorry I must have written it poorly frank It's fine when its hot or left for an hour or two but after about 3 and especially in the morning it just won't tick over :/ I had thought maybe it was either not enough fuel that's why when i give it a little bit of throttle it would go fine or weak spark again (or something else on the ignition side). but I will give that a go anyway
