Tips for an engine swap?

Hi Folks,

So pretty much as the title says I'm gonna do a straight cg10de coilpack engine swap (bust piston ring in cylinder 3 forces this) and invite any tips or shortcuts or things to avoid. Have searched for similar threads but apologies if this has been covered before, any suggestions?

is the gearbox attached? to the newer engine

No R-REG-SR I'm gonna have to swap that too. Don't tell me that's the worst bit!?
