Engine swap

Ok lads im getting ready for an engine swap finaly, mines a k11 1L 2001, myself and my mates going to put a 1.5L perrol out of the older almeras 1996, they say its a straight swap as they use the same block just bolt in job and swap over the ecu amd wiring loom, is that true? Any tips or advice be greatly appreciated

I could be wrong but I imagine you will need the drive shafts aswell? As I know you do on the sr20 which is of similar age

longer engine aint it ? no-one on here has done the swap to my knowledge

If your going to the struggle of fitting the 1.5 you may aswell fit the 2.0 sr20 mate

Or the 1.4 micra engine swap, I certainly wouldn't be goin to the effort for a 1.5 when the 1.4 drops straight in

The 1.4 with the 1.0 gbox is a great upgrade.

Ya its just the hassle of finding a 1.4 micra engine here in ireland there as rare so they are,
Your saying best bet is to find s 1.3/1.4 micra engine n put that in?

That would be best bet, failing the sr20 with a fair bit of modifying to get it in, the sr20 is by far the most powerful swap
