Throttle Body, Belts and Alternator

Hi Guys,

I need help about these above titles

I serviced my first throttle body recently so my mate soldered it and remove this cold idle thing. He told me that it was ok without using cold idle thing. I was like ok so i trusted him.

In cold times, sometimes i lose my car power so i dont know why. is it because that i removed this cold idle thing?


I got spare belts and alternator from my uncle's spare micra. Its about 65000 milesish. it was sat on his drive way for years now. Is it ok if i can use these spare belts so i can save my money right? I will keep this spare engine so he will scrap this micra soon. Btw i will try my best to get more spare parts :)

Did you re-adjust cold and warm idle speeds after removing the wax stat?

Was it soldered correctly?

Just buy new belts, I paid less than a tenner each

It was normal idle before I put it on my car then I turn down to low idle. I can't do it anything cos I ain't got proper tool so my mate sent me a gift. ( waiting for the parcel to come :) )

It's soldered it correctly.

Ok, got good prices from euro car parts so I will buy soon ( waiting for my wages to come in two weeks time)
