Testing FMIC setup for leaks

saw this idea thrown around the place for testing intakes for boost/vac leaks

it worked pretty well! cost about $6 bucks to make, just set the compressor to about 10psi and connected to the hot side of the IC

Yes I have done this quite a lot in a similar fashion. Useful for finding any problems.

any problems with putting it on the turbo inlet? does it cause any problems with the seals?

cause that seems to be the best way to check the whole system, and getting the turbo outlet rubber off is a PITA

yep! two decent sized ones on two elbows that i thought were sweet! fixed two leaks then upped the pressure a little and one still wasn't sealed properly, just needed to adjust the angle of the pipe going in and seal it a little tighter, i probly didn't tighten all the T clamps up tight enough, worried i'd cut into the silicone

Ah man just swing out of them with a 10mm spanner that what I do and the the pipes are fine
