sump gasket fitting

hi there does anyone no if the sump sould be fitting with gasket sealer or with the proper kork gasket, as they says in the hanyes manul, as nissan do no longer sell the gasket just comes with the end rubbers and you have to buy the sealent at £40+ where i have the gasket and rubbers for a £5 off ebay just think that it may leek as the sump bolds only tourk up to 4lbs foot any help would be gratefull many thanks kev

i always use silicon sealer kev (on the joint and on the 2 rubbers) :grinning:

Ditto, never seen a K11 cork gasket.......always sealed with Hylomar blue.

you can get propper sump gasket sealent, its about a fiver.

Yeah gasket sealer bout £7 from halfords, take the sump of and scrape the crap off round the edge sand it down a little make sure it's all clean in side and put sealant in the grooves and a smidge either side of the half moon rubbers
