strut braces

do strut braces (top and bottom) make a difference to handling or are they just show pieces.?

in my opinion there useless if you fit 1 front strut brace. with a full kit there is a noticable difference.

Depends how grippy your tyres are! If you've got some no name cheapo far eastern rubbish tyres there isn't a lot of point in stiffening the chassis, cause the tyres grip will let go before the chassis starts flexing.
Front and rear upper braces are fitted as standard to the Almera GTi, I doubt very much if that was just a marketing exercise!!

Lower brace is very effective on this type of car. Upper, not so much. Rear, not at all. IMO

ive only fitted an upper front one to my car and it has significantly reduced understeer to such an extent that the back lets go before the front
strut braces only work properly if fitted correctly
dont bother with a rear one unless you custom make it and fix it to the wheel arch not the top of the shock

havent had any experience on micras, but used to have a pair on my mark 2 fez, which made it handle 100% like chickenwaahoo's comment lol. felt a fair bit less boaty but my rear champiro tyres got some premature sideways wear!
