Steel Wheel Painting on my first micra :D

Hey guys i finally picked up my first micra yesterday insured today my first car ever, shes a good wee runner silver 1lt micra s 2001, straight into the mods, I want to paint my steel wheels purple, anyone have any step by step guides to how i would achieve this? as i do not have a clue... any help would be excellent

Sand the wheels by hand, clean all the dust out. Prime wheels (couple coats) spray them desired colour (couple coats) then lacquer (i put on about 5 coats)

Youll achieve this

thank you, am i best priming it then painting it white then painting it purple? then laqur? and you have had no cracks etc?

primer..paint ..lacquer.no need to paint them white that was stanis colour of choice

alright so the purple straight over the prime? can you tell me what the best brand of rattle can would be to paint it purple?

just buy what you can afford. taking into account you will need a few tins..and i would wet flat them between coats

i know i know... its just im not sure whether to go to halfrauds and get a purple car paint or go to the local graffiti store and buy the likes of belton? which would stick better?

ive never used either of them ....get my paint and parts from a local auto store
