hi all. just got a 1997 micra shape today and i want to upgrade the speakers. i want to change the ones in the door and add some 6x9 to the parcel shelf and add a 12" sub. what speakers do you recommend for the doors? also which is the best way to run the sub and amp cables to the back from the headunit and battery? thanx

I wired mine by running the cables under the carpet up the o/s of the car, but it depends what you want to do. You might be better off doing it up the n/s because you don't have to worry about the petrol/boot release cable and lever. Just don't bother running it up the middle unless you want to take out alot of your interior, because it's a pain in the arse.
Just a thought though. Considering the power cables for amps are quite fat, I would suggest running them up the n/s of the car, and doing speaker cables up the o/s.

i know the cables are supposed to be on opposite sides but does anyone know why?
As for speaker choice i personally prefer JBL just because they are not that expensive and are fairly good quality,
