servicing micra

hi
was going to service the micra this weekend, and i was just wondering wat grade of oil to use? the haynes says 15w/40, but then ive been told to use 10w/40 nd 5w/30
would be gratefull for any help you can give

10w40's fine
asda has castrol gtx 10w40 4L on sale at the mo at £10:grinning:

I recently serviced my car as i had an engine change to a 1.3 and i used Castrol GTX 15w and STP to engine flush as i do with all my engines and then changed filter and poured in 10W magnatec oil with Activ8 mechanical suppliment and also use that in my gearbox..... but if you aint sure then for a definet answer id phone Nissans Dealer and as one of the service manager to tell you!!

Im using Castrol Magnatec 10w40 semi-synt and im pleased with it (Y)

Hi, i use Mobil 1 5w/30 fully synthetic for the extra protection it gives as i tend to drive quite hard, but Castrol magnatec 10w/40 from asda will be fine, also i'd recommend genuine oil filters.

Tesco petty pumps i think have it perm on sale for 12 quid, as well as semi syn castron 4l 15w 40.
