seal behind water pump

hi..

any guys can help me.. i have some coolant stain building up right behind my water pump pipe.. my question is : is ther any seal behind the water pump connecting to the pipe ?

When removing the pump be careful to not lever it off with force. Gently tap it with a soft faced mallet to break the seal.

Inspect the pump for any wear etc and if it shows replace the whole unit.

Use good quality liquid gasket (sealer) in a continuous bead and be careful not to get sealant in the pump it self.

Tighten down to 7 Nm

i believe he's talking about the water pipe that comes out from behind the water pump (in the block).. yes there is a rubber o-ring on that pipe, their a few dollars from nissan.
